Forest Healing Meditation Transcript

The intent of this meditation is to send some love and healing to the forest and also receive some love and healing. As all healing is self-healing to prepare, you can go grab a little piece of wood, or a leaf, or an acorn, just something small that can represent the forest. You’ll hold a piece of the forest in your hands while you do the meditation. You may want to pause the meditation now and go collect your small piece of forest.

To begin, place your small piece of forest in your palms and bring your hands together in front of your heart in a position known as Gassho, palms together, hands near the heart, and just gently start connecting in.

Just take a big sigh of relief and just allowing everything to arrive and flow. Letting the flow and rhythm of this sacred grove of ancient, beautiful trees to gather. Sending love and harmony into this small piece of forest in your hands.

Noticing the energy of life and vitality that flows through the sacred and ancient forest. Noticing what this tree roots into. Getting a sense of the earth and soil and nourishing energy, the cool and soothing Earth.

Just allowing the love to touch down, to touch the earth. Just as you allow the love in your heart to touch down, to touch the earth.

Noticing the surfaces that you’re resting on. Notice that slight tug of gravity. Noticing the Direction that is Down, and just ever so slightly aligning yourself with the direction of gravity. So that your body can be in a state of maximum peace and rest.

Now, making your hands open, maybe resting your hands, in your lap, allowing that little piece of the forest to remain in one palm or two.

Notice the direction of Up. Now that you know the direction of Down, notice the direction of Up.

Notice the moisture in the atmosphere. The gentle clouds.

And just take a big sigh of relief here.

Know that there is lots of water here for wherever it is needed.

Allow your awareness to stretch all the way to the source of the water. Where all the waters arise from, and return to, the ocean. We put names on different patches of water. The ocean is actually all connected to everywhere else. So reach out to your nearest ocean.

Allow your love to extend far from the land to the place where the ocean is just ocean in every direction. The whole horizon is simply water.

This is the source of all life. The life that flows within you and through you and through Everything. All originally came from the ocean,

Spend in a moment of love, sending love to the source of life.

If you want, you can imagine placing your hands on the ocean. Sending the energy from your heart into the water. And then, simply ask from your heart, from your core, to the heart of the ocean, “Please, May we have some rain? A nice rain, a nourishing rain, a soaking rain, a stay-at-home rain that will nourish all the plants and trees and beings of the land, of the forest, wherever it is needed, in the perfect amount for your living creatures.”

Take another breath.

Just completely be here, with her, and all this love. All this love. All this kindness and compassion. And allow it to lift you. And allow her to give to you.

Notice the answer is “Yes.”

If it feels good, you can float with the clouds, back to your seat.

Take a sigh of relief And notice the rain.

At first, just one fat, nourishing drop. And another. Falling on the top of your head, on your shoulders and your open hands.

Feel the rain. Smell the rain and the air. A beautiful forest, nourishing rain where the trees all say “Ah”.

Say, “ah”.

Any place within you that needs that inner rain, that inner nourishing, to nourish all of your rich soil of creative, compassionate, loving ideas, allow that to flow in, too.

There’s enough. There’s enough for everyone. Take another big sigh.

Let all that love fill every place in your heart, in your being, in your core. All healing is self-healing,

And we are all Part of this Forest. And the forest is you. The forest lives in you.

Notice where your inner forest needs rain. and let it flow. Let it all grow. Let it soak all the way down to your roots, down to your feet. Almost as though your feet are breathing a big of relief.

Let it land. Let it soak into the earth. Let it fall all around you.

Nourishing all the spaces where you live with love, and kindness, and compassion in the perfect amount for whatever is needed.

It is all given from love, and it all flows back to love. The ocean can be generous because she knows we’re just borrowing. It will all go back to her one day. Just like we will all go back to her one day.

But while we are here, We can rest and heal, and breathe.

Now that we’re in the center, in the core, and you’re tuned into the messages of your inner being, and tuned in to the greatness of life, that flows everywhere, notice what messages or guidance flows from that space.

Maybe it’s a word, a feeling, a sense of direction, an inspiration.

Bring your hands back together at your heart. Let all of the energy you need stay within you.

Notice what the forest is asking from you, of how you can help all the forests and all the world receive what they need.

Notice how the mighty forests in all the earth are working to heal themselves as you do your work to heal yourself.

Very gently begin to Bring yourself back, Wiggling your fingers and your toes.

You can ground, with just bringing some energy down your legs, maybe bringing your hands to your legs, and just smoothing the Energy down to your feet, and bringing energy and light all around your aura. Stretching your arms up overhead, and bringing all of this energy and light around your body. And you can pat the edge of that bubble.

And when you’re ready, open your eyes.
