Why are you here? What are you supposed to do with your life? What is your purpose?

These are giants, as far as questions go. The answers are not simple and not always clear. Perhaps it is not known until the end, looking back, when everything becomes understood.

What has made all the difference to me has been meditation. When I sit in meditation I become connected to a higher point of view. Things settle in. I get to see my life through the eyes of my source. From that perspective, it is easier to feel and sense when I am on the path or off of it.

When your thoughts and emotions are settled in meditation, there is a distinctive calm energy that can be felt. When your thoughts are distracted or unfocused, a tension resides in the body.

This ease and tension dichotomy is a clear indicator of what is closer to your purpose and what is further from it. It is like your own magic compass that constantly points you toward your dreams.

The feeling of joy expands as you begin to choose life experiences that are aligned with your path.

It might be difficult to put words to the path you are on, or even know exactly where you are headed, but you can always know whether you are on track or not, by how you feel.

The more you meditate, the easier it is define the feeling of being in joy and on your path. The signals get stronger and clearer after even a few minutes of sitting in stillness.

Your true life purpose goes beyond a job, a relationship, or an accomplishment. It is a trajectory. It is a direction. It is orienting yourself towards the Divine wisdom that already lives within you. It is about being willing to travel full circle, to humbly return home again knowing that you did your best, uplifted a few others, and experienced the gift of your life. Your purpose is to travel that sometimes meandering journey and discover the sweetness of each step.
